A poem and prayer on the empowering, Spirit-filled living which comes from God. May we be filled to the measure of the fullness of God.
Poetry lends itself to emotional expression. I am not deluded into thinking I am a poet, but there are times when my thoughts lend themselves to be shared through poetry. The poems in my collection like everything on Devoted Conversations are inspired by Scripture, but in many ways they reflect more personally my own journey as a Christian. Whether you typically enjoy poetry or not, I hope you will relate with me through these posts. I invite you to read and engage in the conversations. All I ask is you be kind in your critique of my grasp of poetry.
Many people are struggling. The reasons vary, but the need is genuine. Be comforted. Be comforting. Our Lord is the God of all Comfort.
There are times life seems filled with barrenness. It’s as if we are running on empty with no relief in sight.
I have always been taught to show gratitude, yet, the story of the ten lepers in Luke 17 haunts me. Only one came back to thank the Lord.
Are you weary? Does everything seem an endless battle? Do you want to give up on it all? In Christ, we can find inspiration to press on.
It’s here! This is Christmas! Filled with fun, family and tradition – may we never lose sight of the real reason we celebrate this season. Christ’s birth!
